KEYNOTE: Growing a Grass Roots Business by Bridging the Gap between Old School and New School Practices
Astrology has been passed down for generations through written and spoken language that has its roots in the traditional ways of sharing and now finds itself facing new methods as well. How do we build practice that embrace what our roots have taught us while also leaping to the new frontier of technology? How do we ensure entertainment doesn’t override quality information? In this talk I would like to share my story and my experience with building a space to honour Astrology that bridges the gap between the old school and new school ways.

The Zodiacs: Finding Your Milieu & Perspective
Both Astrologers and their readers and clients often focus on poetical archetypes associated with the Zodiac signs, while the practical function of the Zodiac and the existence of more than a dozen of different Zodiacs are overlooked.
We will discuss why we need a Zodiac, how different Zodiacs were developed and what are the similarities and differences between them, what are the relationships between the Zodiacs and challenges that arise when we are trying to reconcile Tropical and Sidereal zodiacs.

Uranus – Catapulting Humanity Into the Renaissance
Creatively or radically, 2022 is set to bring in sudden excitements or upsets to overthrow comfortable structures in our communities. This year will ‘force’ us to let go of spells of the past. New discoveries, understandings and opportunities to re-stabilize our security, may stimulate new agreements toward group standards, or provide a ‘wake-up call’ to change or release attachments tied to joint securities. 2022, collective freedom through a universal change in values.

Moving Forward: Our Future in the Astrology Community(s)
The speed at which we are ingesting and exchanging information is rapidly changing the way we do Astrology. Social media has transformed the face of Astrology for better and for worse. We have seen the vulgarization of complex techniques and the connective influence playing a positive role in the lives of Astrologers; a profession that requires long hours of solitary studies.
On the other hand, the experience of the living sky, the alternation of light and darkness and the philosophical implications of dealing with Fate and Fortune are mostly lost in the 24/7 blue light circus emitted from our electronic devices. How do we most gracefully navigate this new world of Astrology? How can we best build each other up as an Astrological community? (Astrological communities?)
